When it comes to selling a house, the escrow portion of the transaction is much the same as when buying, you are just on the opposite side of the table. The title company and escrow officer will handle the transaction. Some states may have a real estate attorney taking care of the contract and closing. You will be called upon to make decisions throughout the process but the selling side is usually a little easier since you are not dealing with loans or arranging inspections. That doesn't mean that it is smooth sailing, there will always be issues that arise.

It is not unusual for the buyer to seek additional concessions during the escrow process. This will generally happen after an inspection has been performed. Problems may have been uncovered that neither side was aware of. Whether or not you give additional concessions really depends on what problems were revealed and how the negotiating process has gone to that point. By this time the buyer usually has mentally moved into the house and would be seriously disappointed if the deal didn't close. Unless there was a major unexpected problem I wouldn't be inclined to concede much, if anything, at this stage of the game. If you hold firm, the deal will probably close as expected.
